Guild Rules ViNi ViDi ViCi is an end game raiding guild designed to progress efficiently through the content provided in the World of Warcraft, Burning Crusade expansion. We require that our players be patient, consistent, dedicated and prepared for the coming challenges. And remember, we all play this game to have fun!!!
Social Rules
1) Please respect all other players in the game. Just because you are behind a keyboard does not absolve you from treating people with respect and decency. Griefing of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes harassment and/or derogatory comments of a sexual, racial, etc. nature whether this be in Guild Chat, General chat, or otherwise.
2) Please keep all conversations, especially on the Guild Chat channel as 'PG' as possible. We do have younger players in our guild as well as some children of members that may log into play. Excessive profanity should be avoided. Please be responsible with what you type. The availability of a profanity filter does not absolve you of your responsibility.
3) Please keep all arguments off the Guild Chat channel. If you have a disagreement please take it to private tells/whispers. If you can't resolve your issues, feel free to escalate it to one of the Inner Circle members that will help to mediate. Do NOT resort to name calling, swearing, etc. (See rules #1 and #2)
4) No begging/whining. This includes begging for money, items, quest help, etc. If you're in need of something specific, schedule it on the in-game calander or post a message on our forums. Keep in mind that people play this game for their own enjoyment, not just to help you do whatever you're trying to do. People will help you when it’s convenient for THEM to help you. If no one is available to help you immediately, feel free to do something else in game in the meantime and come back to whatever it is you're needing help with when its more convenient for others.
5) Benefiting financially from guild mates are frowned upon. Do not advertise items for sale in Guild Chat. (Advertising items you are giving away FREE however is encouraged). Selling items given to you or crafted for you by other guild mates is also frowned upon. Guild Integrity 1) Do not engage in behaviors that are frowned upon by Blizzard. This includes advertising the sale of accounts, or game money for “real life” money. 2) Anything that is against Blizzard's TOS and EULA are also against guild policy. 3) Please do not engage conversations with known server clowns in trade chat. Doing so only encourages such behavior to continue and looks badly on the guild.
Loot Rules for Guild Events
1. You may roll Need when the item is an upgrade over what you are currently equipping and will be equipped and used, after you make this known in vent or party/raid chat with whomever your grouping with. Preference for items during master loot will be given to their primary class.
2.Most infractions will be handled with a warning for a first offense. Repeated offenses will lead to demotion to Kort Jester where permissions will be reduced to virtually nothing I.E unable to talk in guild chat. Depending on the severity of the infraction, the IC may vote to kick on a first offense at their discretion with approval from the Guild master. The "Time Out Chair" may also be used as a cooling off period if excessive spam is being posted to the guild chat channel or as a 'fun' warning that you are getting close to crossing the line. We will not discriminate. We will put all parties involved in whatever is going on in the Time Out Chair without preference to who may or may not think it right or wrong. Raiding Rules 1. In order to enter a raid you must first be a member of the guild website, unless special permission is granted by a RL or IC member.
3. There will be no whispering allowed once the raid has begun, anything you wish to say to another player may be spoken in Ventrilo but not during a encounter.
4. All raids are open to Raid Members. To become a Raid Member, you must be a Guild Member and signify that you accept these rules. You will then be added to the Raid Members List, exceptions can be made with permission from the current raid leader.
5. Raids are arranged for times and dates when enough Members are available to enable a successful raid. 5. Raids will be posted up on the guild calendar 3-5 days before the Raid.
6. To attend raids, raid members must sign-up for the raid on in-game guild calendar. Please note that this does not guarantee a place in the raid. All Raids have class requirements for successful completion. This will dictate how many of each class is required and this is why the Raid list is split between classes and order of sign up. Just because you are the 15th sign-up for a 25 man raid does not mean you will get a place as more of your class may have signed up before you.
7. If after signing up, you can not make the Raid, please post saying this otherwise you may be liable for a Raid Penalty.
8. Moderators and essential Raid Members (tanks, healers etc) will be added to the raid list automatically unless other wise stated by the member in question.
9. All Raid Members must use Ventrilo, Threat Meter and Deadly Boss Mods. Raid members who do not have these installed and working may be asked to leave the raid.
10. If you are not online for your raid invite, you will be moved to the bottom of the sign-up and class list.
11. Please allow yourself time to prepare for a raid, including needed repairs, potions, food or other needed equipment. Also, if possible, TRY to attend or be summoned into the raid "unflagged"!
12. Do not sign-up knowing that you cannot stay for the full duration as you are taking a spot from someone who can. Please let the RL or his Info person know if this is the case ASAP! People who constantly leave early may be liable for a Raid Penalty.
13. Members who do not make the initial cut or have posted that they will be late will be added to the reserve list and may get an invite later.
14. Spaces maybe saved in the Raid for people from time to time at the Raid Leader's discretion.
15. You shall always listen and obey the Raid Leaders instructions. During the Raid, he is GOD or LUGO. Persistent failure to do this may lead to members being removed from the raid as 1 person should not spoil it for others.
16. If you have a comment to make then please whisper a Raid Leader.
17. If you need a break then let the Raid Leader know and set yourself to AFK. IF you are AFK for longer than 5 mins then you may be omitted from the raid.
18. We use a Master Loot system for all purple items that drop from these raids.
19. Any items (Green, Blue or Purple) that drop during a raid, and cannot be used (as an upgrade to current equipment) are currently being DE'd and added to the new guild bank where all mats ect will be available to be used to enchant/enhance all raid members gear where supplies are available!
20. This may seem like an aweful lot of rules to many of you, but if you stopped to read them, the vast majority of them are pretty much common sense practices. The less time that has to be wasted on enforcing rules or stopping raids or other activities to mediate rediculous behavior, the more time may be spent on improving our skills and gear so we can go take this server by storm like I know we can! *Special Thanks goes Out to my favorite Mad Scientist Lugo for developing these guidlines!
